There has been a lot of rumors about the New Moon official soundtrack, like Kelly Clarkson and so on about people that you have never heard about, but one song has been confirmed by the New Moon editors and crew. The song is Meet Me On The Equinox by Death Cab For Cutie. Here is the music video for the confirmed New Moon song.
